This is a Colorado based book of tax clients run virtually. There is no office space as this is a cloud firm. Current owner is looking to sell tax clients to focus on bookkeeping and CFO services.
This book of clients consists of, small business and individual tax clients. They are willing to pay good fees and are loyal. Mostly tech savvy users who have the majority of contact electronically. Many clients have needs for more services that the current firm has been unable to accommodate. These services include bookkeeping, financial services and additional tax planning. Average tax service revenue per business client is $1,000 and personal clients are $650. Majority of the clients are in various professional services. They are sophisticated and understand their business and their finances.
Clients are conditioned to pay upon completion of the project and there is very little bad debt. Currently new business is brought in through 100% client referrals.
Ideal Buyer
The ideal buyer would be a CPA or EA with very good tax experience. Buyer will need to have experience and infrastructure to take on the client list. The ideal buyer might have an existing practice and looking for an opportunity to grow with this quality client list. This could also be a great starter firm for someone willing to market the firm in the off season when owner hours are very low. These clients can be serviced from any location.
