Work Life Balance with Amy Vetter (podcast)

Brannon recently had an enlightening conversation with Amy Vetter. Listen in on their conversation about work life balance, which helps create a more productive work-force and a more productive you. Amy Veter is a CPA, author, teacher, public speaker and yoga studio owner. In this podcast, Amy gives us insight into the contentment she feels in business and life by living a purposeful, mindful, relaxing and productive life. We highly recommend you listen to the business and life advice Vetter has to contribute in this podcast.

While some kids dream of being a super hero or a firefighter, Amy dreamed of being an accountant. When Amy was just 12 years old she decided she wanted to be a CPA like her grandfather. She pursued the profession earnestly and by the time she was 32 she became partner at a successful firm. Surprisingly, the achievement of reaching her major career goal at such a young age ended up leaving her feeling dissatisfied. For her, it was time for a pivot. She had not spent as much time focusing on her personal purpose in life. She shares with listeners that reaching satisfaction in your career comes back to aligning your career goals with your personal purpose.

One of the major messages Amy has for listeners of this podcast (her online learning community, as well as her TEDx talks) you have to carve out time to take care of you. Everyone benefits from taking the time to do what brings them rest and joy so that they can be better for their friends and family as well as their career.
