Are your late-filers always the same clients each year? Do these same people try to turn their procrastination/crisis into your problem…at the last possible minute?
I hope you are taking notes (and names.) Maybe it’s a good time to assess a couple of things:
- What can we do to help these people do a better job of planning ahead?
- What’s unacceptable?
Unless your accounting practice has an exceptional client selection process…then if you are not referring a few clients away every year, you are probably putting up with too much.
