Every year on Christmas Eve our family has a fun tradition. After dinner while still seated at the table, we pass around the Peppermint Pig, in its little red velvet pouch. (Also included with the pig is a little hammer.)
The Peppermint Pig dates back to the early 1880’s as a holiday tradition that is a symbol of good health, happiness, and prosperity. After the holiday dinner, the pig is passed among those who are gathered, each in turn giving the pouch a firm tap and sharing a tale of this years’ good fortune and prosperity. Leading up to Christmas, our kids always ask “has the Peppermint Pig come in yet?”
This year our family and our work family at Poe Group has been very fortunate. We gained a new market leader in Quebec, Randi Vetvik. Darryl Boyd grew his reach and became the regional market leader in Ontario; where he had a banner year. We also moved into our new offices on Broad Street in downtown Charleston. We added Martha Robbins to our team as the new Sales and Marketing Coordinator. We hired Tim Anson, as our new Practice Intermediary, and I became the Chief Operations Officer to allow Brannon to focus more on thought leadership, team development, and market expansion.
Most importantly, we have had the great pleasure of working with many amazing buyers and sellers of top-notch accounting practices. We have gotten to witness first-hand the joy and excitement as a seller passes the torch to a new buyer and watching their dreams become a reality. We are so grateful to our clients who have trusted us to participate in what’s often a life-changing event.
All of us at Poe Group – Brannon, Stephanie, Darryl, Randi, Martha, Tim, and myself would like to say thank you and may you have good health, happiness and prosperity!
Cheers and Happy Holidays.
